EKG

An EKG, or electrocardiogram, is a test that measures the electrical activity of the heart. It is a simple, non-invasive procedure that helps detect various heart conditions, such as arrhythmias, heart attacks, and other cardiac abnormalities.

During an EKG, small electrodes are placed on the skin of the chest, arms, and legs to record the heart’s electrical signals. The results provide valuable information about the heart’s rhythm, rate, and overall health.

EKGs are commonly used in routine check-ups, emergency situations, and ongoing monitoring of heart conditions, making them an essential tool in cardiology.
